ABOUT TRISHA
Welcome to my Blog. I hope that this site give you a little look into my life. I am a girl in her late 20’s who loves her friends and family with all her heart. I have Cerebral Palsy and do everything from either a walker or a wheelchair. I am a Junior at Ferrum College. I am majoring in Political Science and Minoring in Russian Language. I became a fully enrolled student at Ferrum on January 14th, 2007 and so I will always see my time here as the most expensive present that I have ever given to a friend or family member, I say that because my Cousin Brad had been encouraging me to go back to school because he knew that I could do it and because he wanted me to do well in life, and I did all the paperwork and got my student ID issued on his birthday.
When I got to Ferrum College my plan was simple: Get in there, go to classes, go back to my room, do all my work and when you have the credits for the Degree, GET OUT. Then I had to work in the Theater and met Wayne Bowman, a crazy, kind, perfectionist of an absentminded professor and was invited on to a ropes course…now, I can often be found in the theater working to get the latest production ready for opening night, and on certain days I can be found on the school’s high ropes course blowing off steam on the zip line. In fact the Ferrum Outdoors Club even let me try rock wall climbing and canoing with them.
I love teddy bears (I own over 100), roses (make that flowers of almost any kind) and The Alabama Crimson Tide Football team. My friends and family are the most important things to me and I will always bend over backwards to help those that I count in those two categories as long as I am given the respect that I deserve.
ABOUT THIS BLOG
I started my first blog on January 8th, 2003. I started the blog to help me deal with moving in with with the man who is now my step-father (I love him, mom got it right on her third try…what can I say). Mom and Pop Pop were both just days out of major surgery and so I needed the outlet. These days, I use the blog just to commenicate with family and friends around the country and around the world. I put some of my favorite memories here and try to just let people into my life.
Happy Reading, I hope that the things that I share here give you a good look at the life of a girl that is doing her best. Please feel free to comment on the entries that I open up for that (that will be most of them).
