Not a bad read, but I find the movie easier to follow…
That is just a product of the way that I best process material

You may think your own thoughts.

I do want to share two quotes from the book with you, though.

1. “Call him Voldemort, Harry. Always use the proper name for things. Fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself.” Dumbledore, Chapter 17, page 298

This is so true, think of things that we don’t like to name…Death, Cancer, there are many…

2. “Your mother died to save you. If there is one thing Voldemort cannot understand, it is love. He didn’t realize that love as powerful as your mother’s for you leaves its own mark. Not a scar, no visible sign. . . to have been loved so deeply, even though the person who loved us is gone, will give us some protection forever. It is in your very skin. Quirrell, full of hatred, greed and ambition, sharing his soul with Voldemort, could not touch you for this reason. It was agony to touch a person marked by something so good.” Headmaster Dumbledore, Chapter 17, page 299

Think about the marks that those that have loved you deeply have left on you….think about how the memory of that person helps and protects you in its own way

Admit it…just admit it. You are an adult, or at least society expects you to act like one, and yet when you see a ball pit like the ones at McDonald’s or Chuck E. Cheese Restaurant you have the urge to jump in and play…height restrictions are just to be ignored. One of my friends and I were talking about how awesome being able to play in a ball pit that is sized for adults would be and we were saying that if we could get one or somehow build / create one that tons of the college kids that we know (and some of the staff and faculty) would just have a BLAST and it would be an activity that would go down in Ferrum College history…

We also talked about how the giant ball pit would be a super fundraiser for, and attraction at Ferrum’s RELAY FOR LIFE event.

SO…
After dinner, my friend went to a movie and I came to my room and jumped on Google. After a few minutes on the internet, there were two or three things that surprised me.

The largest ball pit I could find is about the size of a Queen Size bed, and costs about $3,200. This is just not big enough for college students.

Ball pits are incredibly theraputic, and help with various kinds of sensory disorders (don’t believe me?? READ HERE)

Those balls, are probably the most expensive pieces of plastic I have ever seen!

If we want to do a ball pit just the right size for college students … we might just have to build it ourselves

Some guy has created a ball pit ball calculator so that you can determine how many balls you need to cover an area to any given depth so that you can create your own ball pit (SEE HERE)

Item #2 on that list was probably the most interesting to me. I had no idea that it could be so beneficial to spend time in one of my favorite attractions at Chuck E. Cheese…even if my Aunt Lisa did have to dive in and get me one time because of the bigger kids…apparently it has a very calming effect (or at least it can…the staff at Chuck E. Cheese might argue the point and have video to back them up)

We are still thinking this out we will keep you all posted…

in addition to getting ready to pack up a car and make the 7 to 8 hour drive, I have sent in my books to the ARC (as mentioned here) and they have already sent me one of the books in PDF form from the publisher…so, today I am taking the PDFs and copying the parts I need to Word files and then after I finish doing that for 627 pages I will put them through this software and get all of the MP3 files made for the readings in this class

It will be our Senior year, and we have to make every moment count…I know we will do just that.

If you are headed back to classes, what is it you are really looking forward to most?
If you have already graduated, what did you most look forward to when headed back for another year?
